Job Description

Principle Objective:

We are looking for a Product Development Coordinator who will support the Product Development team and intrinsically share our values and passion for craftsmanship. Will directly support and manage the process and development of quality products that meet brand strategy and are launched within Marketing Calendar timeframes.

Accountabilities:

Creates in-depth and thorough PowerPoint presentations for new concepts and competitive brands.

  • Researches and presents on trends and new concepts as requested.
  • Develops a quarterly trend report, utilizing social and ELC tools to capture robust information on new trends, ingredients, recent launches, biggest & fastest growing trends.
  • Purchases competitive products. Organizes distribution of these products, tracks and records feedback from Product Development Team.
  • Focus on sustainability trends and free of opportunities for brand, including support with vision for Coffee Shop and soul gifts.
  • Assists and maintains Window Display Launch Calendar, Product needs for Photoshoots, Ingredient Lays, and Training Materials.

Works closely with Creative, Marketing, and Store Ops on organizing and communicating window displays, materials, and training books.

  • Owns and maintains ingredient inventory tracker.
  • Places PO for immediate needs.
  • Executes proposed Window Displays in-store and creates training guides capturing all relevant information based on approved assortment. Follows up with “Best of” Window Displays.
  • Supports with VM support as needed by Store Ops.
  • Responsible for organizing and keeping track of all Product Development samples, assets and various materials.

Coordinates all product formulations – opening packages, distributing samples, labeling, and organizing samples.

  • Keeps submissions box extremely organized in specific bags in correct box with formula name, submission number, date, and rejection/ approval. Ensures these boxes are organized on a weekly basis.
  • Maintains and organizes vault/ archives / competitive products. Ensures these boxes are organized on a weekly basis.
  • Ensures Product Development archives are clean, neat and, organized.

Supports with all Amenities Launches, documenting new submissions and tracking any reformulations.

  • Assists with evaluating new submissions and capturing redirect feedback from Product Development team and Fragrance Evaluator.
  • Maintains amenities formula tracker portfolio in tandem with Product Development Specialist/Administrator, capturing all relevant information and ensuring standards organized and maintained.
  • Attends R&D reformulation meeting to identify outstanding approvals and upcoming reformulations to meet business continuity requirements.
  • Provides critical information for Artwork and reviews and approves for accuracy, with support from Specialist/Administrator.

Assists with new launch developments for EDPs and Home Category, and reforms by thoroughly tracking needs for product development and packaging.

  • Partners with Product Development Specialist/Administrator on all formula & packaging bulk requirements.
  • Closely tracks all new batches and feedback from Fragrance Evaluator.
  • Supports to create PTR numbers for candle testing.
  • Maintains lab and production standard tracker for all categories.
  • Attends cross functional vendor meetings and business continuity meetings to support with new launches and reformulations.
  • Supports to gather information on approved ILNs, PAOs, and warnings for Artwork.
  • Assists with Vegan and Free of information and getting final claims.
  • Provides critical information for Artwork and reviews and approves for accuracy, with support from Specialist/Administrator.
  • This role will report to our Global Product Development Director, and work closely with the rest of the team, outside vendors, other departments, and our sales team.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 1–2-years’ experience in a coordination role preferred.
  • Before anything, needs to genuinely fit with the culture of LE LABO and our values. We are looking for a “personality” with the right sensitivity and who will be eager to contribute to our mission.
  • Strong organizational and follow up skills are a must.
  • Mindfulness with an outstanding attention to detail and ability to remain focused on very meticulous tasks.
  • Comfortable performing various administrative and logistic duties.
  • Multitasker with a strong ability to meet deadlines, organize and prioritize projects and to wear different hats, like everybody in our small company, “No task too big or too small” attitude.
  • Hands-on and can-do approach on everything, actual doer / roll up your sleeve attitude / solution provider / go-getter/ driven by problems and new challenges / self-starter with the ability to work independently / entrepreneur mindset and constant desire to optimize and imagine new solutions to make it better / not afraid to come up with new proposals and to push for what has never been.
  • Flexible, positive, and enthusiastic; able to work efficiently and develop trusted relationships with different personalities, teams, vendors, and graphic designers.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency with MAC OS and Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
