Job Description

Reporting to the Manager, Business Partner Operations, the Human Resources Business Partner will provide top quality human resources products and services to assigned client groups in related disciplines, such as performance management, development and staff compensation, workforce planning, organizational design and structure, and labor relations issues. The person holding the position must have demonstrated experience in the creation and implementation of highly effective predetermined solutions for his client group, in addition to acting as a human resources representative for employees, managers and leaders.

Responsibilities

Human Resources Business Partner

  • Establish and manage a highly effective roadmap of HR activities relevant to respective client groups
  • Implement human resources processes and projects within the targeted client group; such as compensation reviews, organizational reviews and talent management activities
  • Cultivate a spirit of performance within the relevant area of ​​the company through the creation of appropriate human resources performance programs and frameworks
  • Mentor and advise leaders on HR topics to ensure consistency of programs and policies
  • In collaboration with Human Resources Advisors and Managers, design and implement solutions in response to the challenges of the relevant sector of the company (departures, retention, involvement, training of managers, etc.)
  • Create a culture of development in the relevant area of ​​the company, focused on identified learning targets and employee development
  • Review current human resources policies and programs of the targeted area of ​​the company and propose solutions
  • Collaborate with Hr Business Partners and Operation Groups to deliver HR solutions
  • Determine company sector performance gaps and departmental trends to define solutions
  • Work with managers to determine the department’s training needs and implement associated solutions

Staff support

  • Mentor employees on various human resources topics
  • Support staff relations and compensation surveys (initial interviews and information gathering)
  • Proactively address employee concerns and gather insights to adapt current practices
  • Communicate regularly with employees about HR programs and projects
  • Train staff on performance management, career advancement, etc.

Administrative agent

  • Advise managers and employees on situational issues; participate in internal investigations, corrective actions and mentoring
  • List employee performance, talent mapping, succession plans, promotion rate, etc.
  • Maintain the department’s resource plan and ensure targets are met

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Human Resources, Chartered Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years of human resources experience in a business partner or advisory role
  • Excellent knowledge of human resources legislation and labor standards
  • In-depth knowledge of practices related to human resources, such as skills management, performance management, succession plans, staff involvement, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing human resources programs tailored to the needs of client groups
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and French
